PCS's special area of work and interest has been the execution and management of major modifications and refurbishment of existing facilities on onshore and offshore well platforms and process complexes. With its deep involvement in this work over the last decade and a half, PCS has compiled well documented as-built data and drawings for almost all the major Indian offshore platforms and projects with which it has been associated along with other major International Contractors. This provides the inherent strength and advantage to PCS in swiftly executing all modification projects.

Our capabilities and strengths in this area have been fully recognised by all the major contractors who have engaged and continue to engage our expertise for the total services of modification and refurbishment work. This continues to be our major forte. Captive construction manpower employed by PCS acts as a nucleus on which additional manpower is built, depending upon workload. The Construction Division is headed by a Project Manager (Construction) and assisted by a team of field engineers, workforce of various specialised trades like welders, fitters, grinders, cutters, scaffolders, riggers, mechanics, electricians, technicians, crane operators, logistic personnel etc.

PCS has its offshore work team from senior, experienced marine construction personnel upto supervisory level on a permanent basis. The construction team is supported on the platform by project personnel whose responsibilities are keyed to specific areas, systems and disciplines. These personnel are linked to the craft supervisors and establish priorities, interpret drawings, identify & rectify shortages, etc. Within an area, various disciplines work simultaneously, however, limited by safety considerations and reasonable access to the work. PCS supervisory personnel and high level workers execute offshore activities for platform topside works as per the planned schedules.
